All FI classes did was slow down FI cars from getting HP. That why NHRA put FI cars back in with carbs because it did not work. Now that FI cars are back in with carb cars we are starting to see hp going up on FI cars. There were to many classes with FI so cars had classes to hide in. Example the L-98 camaro and firebird fit in D/FIA. At that time there were not very many cars in that class therefore that combo never get hp because they never had to show there hand. Now that they are in with carb cars they haft to run fast to win class therefore get hp like in the last review from NHRA.

Back to the main point how are CJ's hurting or sport? In time these cars will level out with older cars and there will be no gain in having one. I recall a few years back LS1 cars ruled A,B and C now not so much. Time level everything no combo stays on top for two long.

Chad why would I have tears? I'am not crying
the race only Cudas and darts were SS only, end of discussion. and quit bitching about the LT/LS cars. They were showroom available with that HP rating, the closest relative to the CJ is currently rated at 540hp, 101hp more than their current NHRA rating. its apples and oranges, but i guess its all fruit to you huh?
