Looks like a couple more spaces just opened up for T/S and T/D cars.

All sorts of rules will have to be adjusted! I wonder if they thought of this? Jim

No ,it's 11.49 for those sophisticated , highly tuned bracket cars. 13.15 for those junky ,unsafe Stockers.
Don't give them any more ideas, okay?

I think most of the guys are missing the point. Dropping the index will eliminate a fair percentage of the Stk and S/S cars. Less cars to scale. Less cars to fuel check. Less people to hire to run the show. More pit space for the faster cars that spectators like to see.

To them it's all about the bottom line.

Cool Re: Index Change

lets start off by saying merry christmas NHRA. now what the -ell are you thinking giving us (396-375 steel head) 9 h.p. then taking 3 tenths from us? you don't like us i thought we were friends, we have raced together for years. that makes it like you hit us 4 tenths. just because there are a couple of cars (won't say any names but i did'nt buy my computer from him, or fly with the other couple) we all didn't need to get punished did we????? not saying we didn't need maybe 4 but 9 come on. to all the rest out there (not the two cars is was hinting about) have a very merry cristmas & happy new year!!!!!!!!! dont' start yelling how nice these people are they might be the nicest people in the world , i just don't like the fact they just didn't care about the rest of us.

Tony,
I do not agree with what NHRA has done one bit but if you look at it a little different the same guy's you say have done this will also be 3 tenths slower now if you want to look at
that way. We also got some HP added to our combo but it still means the fast guy is in the
same boat. We also will need to add some more HP to make up the difference we were already behind but in your case its 9hp and ours its 5hp regardless of what the hit is
everyone is now taking a .03 hit on the index. Like I said im not for it but I dont think its like getting hit .04 now we all just need to work a little harder to make it up lol.
