Well, its pretty obvious it your intent to mislead people , make accusations, insinuations and dont have a very good ability to read and understand EXACTLY what is being said , I said in my PM to you I rarley directly insult people, this is as close as I will get and thats pretty direct in my book.
You said I insulted people, what by not believing what they say face front and walking away taking what they say as gospel ? This is the internet , as my friend says "The largest rolling insane asylum" "RUDE INSANITY" ? Well for everyone else I will post the message VERBATIM I sent you, perhaps they feel its rude, I didnt saw it as a private explanation of things I really didnt feel were appropriate to say in public with concerns to my families health, but as you seem intent on saying it was "RUDE INSANITY" I will post it below. I dont see one single "RUDE" or "INSANE" statment in that I sent you in Private , yet you would post leading people to believe that because they cant see it ? I can back up every single statment made in it. Can you back up your denial of these ? Everyone who knows me know there is 100% truth to it. But thats not the point, I know its true, the people I care to know its true, and well the rest, the rest are here on class racer trying to raise doubts about its accuracy. In as much as other details, there were 2 conversations and cars being discussed, maybe that wasnt clear enough for you, There is a project Id like to consider for after the first is completed since it getting there rapidly, That was the one I was looking for suggestions and input on. I dont want to build something and wont that can only do 1 under, so I looked and found one, another racer also pointed out a car (YES one of the guys with a 4 popper who has run 2 under this year) that he thinks is good for a full 3 under, its once again a classification issue, same motor, different ecu, swap the ECU and he puts it at 3 under, but thats a turbo car and not my taste, way too ugly. Anyone can do the other car its only a matter of "cubic dollars" and an underfactored starting point as many here in several other threads have pointed out. This was , is to be something noone sees coming. The second is the one were running at Pomona, that is the Challenger Drag Pak car, that car out of the box anyone who is familiar with them IS 100% Capable and HAS run 1.2 and in SEVERAL cases a full 2 UNDER......Irv Johns ran 9.74 with his, several others into the 9.8;s Why is this something that is so hard to grasp ? It will get hit, but for right now thats where it stands. What you dont believe that ? Ok.....uhhhh and SCJ's cant run 2 under their index ? Wow......I must be on the Magic Dust. Since you think im full of it thats fine..... Ill leave you with some pictures and links.... But you never did answer are you reading the blog ? http://newhemiracing.blogspot.com Some of my favorites....the "Insane part as it were" the bunny suit and some of the other pics under http://www.flickr.com/photos/newhemi...7622915227877/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/newhemi...7623040955582/ http://newhemiracing.blogspot.com/20...early-day.html Especially my son with the Raygun sculptures and robots, as well as him racing, and me working on things like my cars that YES I actually build.....these pics are all from the last 6 months, I will be loading the "Archives" later this week. But for all the rest misc junk http://www.flickr.com/photos/newhemiracing/ Oh and why yes virginia that is a 77 TR7 Chassis car with a 440....and a couple of our Challengers, the 6 pak convertible is somewhere there going sideways to the 60 as well as me doing some paint work, I DO do all my own work with very few excpetions, as well as the Yellow Challenger (Both of which are for sale at a bargain price) Wed take 55 for either car if its in the next couple of days....the Yellow one is #'s matching all correct, the 6 pak, the motor is a date correct warranty block, unfortunatley not #s matching. P.S. If you want direct links to the Miata I mentioned in my private message (its a well known car drop me a line and Ill send it to you I am having them do a bunch of electronics work and not sure I want to tip my hand on that out in public) the word PRIVATE still has meaning to me, and I dont drop names without permission, nor do I try to mislead people as to the content of a private message. Cheers all have a happy holiday....Im off to finish mounting the oil accumulator and put the interior back in the Challenger.... Hmmm.... Ok, Im game....Id still like to know what I bet against, Im sure if you read all my posts then youve seen and know of the car I am building....Im going to keep it to no more than 1.20 under index though the first 3 races, then its getting its 5.7 , well 5.9 with the max overbore and were shooting for the D, E and F records with that. The car will get into the 9's with the 5.7 so that shouldnt be a problem as its rated at 305 itll get hit and Ill be the one getting it hit, but the old man will take one Ill take another and our driver will take another. weve planned it well. Maybe you think Im just full of ****, I hope so, thats the best place to be thougt of in this game at first. Ill take that to having someone afraid of me anyday, when they are afraid they pay attention, if the dont take you serious they discount you. I was asked to "throw a curveball" here on Class Racer so I did just that by more than 1 party outside of us, it was factual but it takes focus away some people that we need to for the moment so it works well...... Here is what happened and why we decided to do this, a little over 2 years ago I was in a bad wipeout on the track, I came in hot and my steering dampner wasnt tight enough, I got a wicked speed wobble and the front wheel bearing failed, still dont know what went first, dosent matter, so I took 3 skull fractures, 6 broken ribs a broken foot, elbow, jaw, and about 2000 stitches to the head to put humpty dumpty together again, that was the 2nd to last time I raced a bike, I did once more and was told I needed to hang up the hat. But healing takes longer as you get older....so I decided cars were less taxing on the body...While recovering, we found out my dad had cancer, bad, they said 6 months if he was lucky. He was in a downhill slide and it took him a while to recover from the surgery, heart attacks clots etc. Now he goes to Chemo every other week, I do to, for myself, but I have a blood disorder so.....We talked about it and since it looked like neither one of us was long for the world, we decided to spend our time together doing something we loved, and since bikes were out for me we decided on cars. I do a lot of remote consulting for pocket change as it were so I can do that anywhere anytime, my dad jokes I need to rename my shop "New Hemi Racing, Lead Techical Architecture and Poker Parlor" There is a lot of truth in that.... ![]() We made a concious decision to do it RIGHT, no half measures, he decided on the DP Challenger and we bought it, and waited, and waited. And to run at least 1 full season.....we are going to do that for those reasons.....its now 2 1/2 years later and they dont know how or why hes still alive, the cancer is all still there, got all 1 lung, part of the other and part of his heart, but not only is he still here hes in the best shape hes been in in 20 years.......our shop and doing this has given us both something to do, together and fun......My son is getting interested in it as well, and since his liver transplant and cancer (yeah really I couldnt make this **** up if I tried) weve been looking for him to join us....hes running a Jr now and doing very very well, dead consistent. I guess I have a different outlook on life........this is (this 2010) season has been my single focus, my fathers motivation to actually undergo chemo every other week for 2 1/2 years, and something my son is happy to be a part of. Soooo....in the scheme of things, thats whats important to me, as far as a car running 3, I posted a correction to that 2, under the new indexes. The people on CR I was talking about were *****, he sent me a pm after making fun of what I said like many others, saying I should apoliogize and print a retraction, I then sent him some specifics as we bounced info back and forth, he thinks I can do 2 maybe..... and *****, ***** said no problem , we actually talked about it for about 2 hours earlier (before the post), well this combo specifically for about 1/2 hr, the rest just on how to deal with NHRA administrative issues that we are going to run into and how to best handle them, I like perspective on that, and hes been smacked hard a few times. Other people I have been talking to are a friend of mine who has a stock internal 250 horse 1.6 miata, all stock internals, He owns ******* in ******, as well as ******* the head coder for the ******** ECU Im still a little confused and upset you think I said that or reffered to you that way.......I can be hard to take, that I understand, but its on a very , very rare occasion I will directly insult someone, and when I do I remeber. Have you been following the build blog ? Just curious....... Cheers Chris |

Drooze don't be to concerned about the comments from some here on this forum. Most don't build their own cars, some don't tune their own cars, some don't drive their own cars and some do none of the above. Just build the thing and you'll either shut them up or not. Times a wasteing and you are wasteing your time trying to convince people on this forum. Time better spent in the shop.

Lol....it a joint effort here at the shop, its entertainment....It gives my back and knees a break every now and then to sit in the office.
But youre right and I know exactly what you are saying, I just want to make my point and position 100% clear so there isnt any "liberal interpreation" What "bothered" me, and something did, is the insinuation from several that I insulted people by saying I believed I could do something that they dont believe they can....that just seems strange to me.... I posted the "facts" for the record and even PM'd one person to explain some things I felt personal, only to have the very act of doing that thrown back at me with the insinuation that it was "rude insanity" Oh....well.. Thanks for the advice....well taken, and agreed..... Cheers Its fun for all here at the shop, Quote:

I would guess there are alot of combos in the guide that haven't been exploited yet. For me personaly I drive a Dodge diesel 3/4 ton to work every day that runs high 13s and gets over 25mpg so I really can't see building a racecar that is slower than my every day junk hauler. But it seems that a lot of people seem to enjoy it and thats what counts in the end. Having fun in what you do.

Dunno if this was pointed out earlier, but there is a movie (about ten years old) called "DROWNING MONA," a farce/murder-mystery (FUNNY!!!), starring Bette Midler about a murder (hers) in a tiny town in an unknown state. Lots of footage of the streets in that little town, and quite a bit of traffic on the streets, for such a small place.
EVERY CAR ON THE STREETS OF THAT TOWN IS A YUGO!!! One has a messed up transmission and will only go in reverse... LOL! Somebody said there were a few Plymouth Horizons disguised as Yugos running around, but I only saw the movie once, and didn't see that... Anyway, just sayin'.... ![]()

You sure it wasnt "A Day in Hell ?" .....no I didnt see that, but now I might, I love Yugos......the epitome of cheap......, I heard nick and Noras infinite Playlist has a few in it same kinds of gags.....
Little buggers are scarce, I tried to buy one about 4 years back.....looked for 6 months, only ones out there were in Vegas and Washington state.....wanted to use the front subframe out of a GM 6 fwd, throw some hacked looking R5 looking flares on it, big tires and some zoomies out of a bunch of old motorcycle pipes I have (all different of course) just make it look as utterly absurd as possible and go out and for $2500 have a hell of a lot of fun with the "rice boys" and their "tuner" cars.......never could find one and moved on to stupider and uglier projects. I like the disguised Idea too.........tricky....... Quote:
