The 904 will hold up quite well with a few mod's. We run one in our bracket car it weighs 3200 with driver and run's 10.30's. All I do is a stock rebuild with good parts.Here is a parts list.
A&A Trans Brake A&A Hi drum spring kit Stronger band strut Billet rear servo I know this is not a pro-trans but it works good in our car and lives all year. Hope this helps
