The ticket would be let it "leak" in the pits how you are going to "Bag" youve got an electronics pacakge youve run .001 difference with before and youre using that hoping the other guy will break out. How your package times across the whole 1320 and makes subtle adjustments.
Launch and run 9-10th throttle hell be on your nose and craning his neck trying to stay right there, then in the last 200 give it a full shot and acel over winning by a nose yourself...both are still under the .02 .....just you by less ![]() Ah hell...itd be fun, probably wouldnt work. The ONLY episode I liked was on "All Out" where the guys were haggling over the Nitrous and they finally convinced em to pull it and then they run heads up.....the nitrous bottle was a fake, had been from the start an extra "bargaining" chip , whole nitrous setup was, then noone could figure out why the car ran the same time on or off juice....lol...it didnt work they lost striaght up good race then admitted it, funnier than hell and wicked sharp, damm near worked. How long before the NHRA starts using these events data to affect HP and indexes (just kidding...I hope) [QUOTE=Philip Saran;161705] Quote:

Smartest thing they have ever done---(NHRA) Letting Pullin produce and package this for T.V.
Now they need to turn the entire NHRA T.V. package over to Pullin and SPEED They would treat NHRA drag racing (even sportsman) like a crown jewel.Unlike ESPN where its just another program. From watching PASSTIME it looks like they have a pretty good HD presentation |

I made the 32 car field at the Martin MI. Pinks All Out, believe me they had their fair share of sandbaggers. They picked a field of cars between 10.35-10.50. I ran three 10.36's, so on paper I was one of the quicker cars. In reality, I was probably around the middle of the pack. They pick alot of low to mid 10 second fields so lots of guys slow their cars down, thinking thats what they will pick. A guy pitted next to me was running 10.40's on Fri. and Sat. during qualifying, got booted 2nd round of eliminations for going too quick. He was told he ran a 9.94!

Yeah guys, I'm pretty sure that this is an Outlaw only deal with index classes as fillers. And the index classes for most Outlaw events requires smaller tires and no throttle stops except in the 4.70/5.00 index classes. Also, I believe that none of these events are going to be 1/4mile, they will be 1/8mile racing only.

its all about marketing the product....a concept that a bunch of guys and a case of beer, can fine tune enough to make a small profit and start a huge movement....and a concept that some mgt forms can not quite comprehend. I hope that NHRA is trying and actually learning from the success of some of the new programs...and not just grasping straws.
There's a HUGE 'underground' market for drag racing..lots of angles to make $$.....if NHRA has finally discovered it, I hope they dont jack it up ! |

PINKS All Out concept is a passing fad, but the PINKS guys are the innovators here and continually come up with new ideas. NHRA on the other hand only react to market conditions and cashes in on ideas these days. The worst thing is letting NHRA in on this.

Note the difference in format:
Pinks All Out - race for $10,000 cash + $7000 value tool chest from Napa Add NHRA to the mix: Race for the "Coveted Wally" Where did the cash & prizes go......oh wait I know where...
