my MSD and coil are inside under the dash. the coil wire goes through a 1" rubber grommet. i have one of the MSD coil wire connectors, but never have used it.
so the questions are: 1 does it really make any difference? 2 should i use the two ended connector? thanks rod |

Rod, don't use the connector. One coil wire only , as short as possible. Grommet through the firewall. And change the wire often. JB

coil where it is on the right inner fender with a short coil wire. Instead of inside under the dash with the MDS box?

Place the coil under the dash as close to the distributor as possible to keep the length of the coil wire as short as possible. I use the MSD bulk head connector that utilizes 2 short wires. Not sure if there is an advantage to having 1 wire versus 2. That would be a good question for the MSD Tech Dept. There are at least two advantages to having the coil out of the engine compartment. 1) The decrease in heat will make the coil last longer and 2) Coil will perform better over time due to less internal degredation caused by heat.
