I think this Drooze is putting the scam on everyone. Laughing his a** of at all the excitement/talk he has generated. (more on that later)
Do any of you know what A Drooze is? It's a mixture of drugs and booze. Drug of choice is Hydrocodone. Drooze, 2 thumbs up to you. I just happen to have a few good racing buddies that live in and around the Barberton area. They are well connected in racing, even in "The business". No one knows or has ever heard of the Drooze cat. So saying "from that area".. What area? Everyone assumes his picture and bio are correct, yea right.. Notice he has never used any real names in his posts. Son, Dear old Grand Dad. Dad.....Girlfriend... thats all we get... Is this just one big joke? If it is the laugh is on all us "NET Junkies" The other possibility is that he is a product of a slick web site owner that is getting paid by the number of "Hits" He sure has been able to spice things up and has hit the counter pretty well since he dropped in out of space. OK Drooze, step out of the "Fog" and let the light, if your eyes can stand it, shine on a real person with a real name. I'm calling you out!

Yes, I'm sure he lives by the old adage, "any press is good press." He does sign some of his posts as Chris though. Here's a quote from this post: http://www.classracer.com/classforum...51&postcount=1 "My name is Chris Wertman I am currently building Drag Pak #24, my father was the Purchaser of the #24 Challenger Drag Pak, the car has completed its initial build and just received its interior, trunk and engine compartment paint." Here's a quote from a post I found here: http://www.challengertalk.com/forums...tml#post439945 "Met a guy at Dragway 42 a month or so ago. He has a drag pack on order with a local dealer. Dealer made him pay $10,000.00 over sticker to order it." As you might guess, he's a member of a few other forums. ![]() -Toby |

Toby,
Thanks for a name. I must have missed that post. Thought I looked at all his posts, but these cold meds have me all up and down. Doing a prescribed Drooze of my own! HA! I've got to get over this and get back to work...I think I'm going to have to agree with S.E. B. ---- I've got too much time on my hands. Did a little simple "Net searching" and connected the name to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and a 37 year old in Barberton. I thought he said he was older than that....So, maybe we do have a Drooze in "The Area" :~) (I find that an interesting alias to use) Now, thats figured out... who is the secret driver #1...... ???? Come on Drooze, The suspense is getting to unbearable.......Hope you make it.

I'd like nothing more than to see the Drooze Challenger be a ringer whenever it finally does hit the track, and silence the people here who've been throwing around the personal insults and negativity toward this guy. No one should be subjected to the treatment some people here have given this kid, and I'm surprised that the people running classracer.com haven't responded to it....Drooze, best wishes to you, your Family, AND your racecar project. You asked for it.......lol.....No problem I didnt think it was secret......
I did see your 2nd post and thanks for the well wishes, and I mean that, it takes a tall man to say, whooooppsss, I missed that in public and you did exactly that. But here goes, not in Cuy Falls, (or Cleveland) there is ANOTHER programmer, although his work mostly def contracting and military work, his name is also Chris Wertman (my name) and hes 38 as well....so....there are 2 of us in the area, careful when searching. Lets see, my Old Nickname and still is to most of my friends is "Major Dick" most friends call me Major, or Dick.....true....long story behind it but as they all became very good friends it all ended well, they gave me the nickname. A lot of sites I signed up for under that name, but some started using filters and wouldnt let it go if it had "dick" in it so I needed a "Famiy Friendly" nickname, so I grabbed my Dictionary and thought and thought, and the word "Drooze" wasnt in there and so to me it had no meaning, at the TIME, (10 years ago) there was no "Slang" term that I could find refrence to so it seemed safe......means NOTHING or so I thought....dont like drugs and dont drink....at all ever. Just me Im screwy enough, maybe Ill look into changing it if it now has that connotation, youre not the first to mention that. Area, Norton actually , shop is down the road in Barberton (cheaper industrial space) Family has been here for 70 years.....Im actually a "Snowball" (moms last name), Mom owns a rare bookstore in town, Snowball Books, and my family is well know (here in Norton/Barberton) but my dads last name (hes actually a Lombardi) got screwed up and he kept it....he was until me the only one, weve all been too lazy to change it now there are 5 of us.............a whole line of Wertmans , related to none other. In as much as my "Business", I didnt even have a sign here until Pop (David Wertman) showed up with a Sign last October for me......I call it my "HoneyComb Hideout" I got it when I was still married......the reason was to LIMIT the amount of time on bikes etc, I live on 16 acres with a 25x50 garage and I was spending ALL my time in the Garage, to the point I even installed "facilities" so....the thought, and it worked when I was married, is that I would "Go" to work, then the wife wouldnt bug me every 5 minutes to run this or that errand....Ive never had a paying customer here....dont know that I will, that wasnt the point....my income from it is in things I build, not work on someone elses stuff. I guess I never thought I was "Hiding" http://www.myspace.com/powmajordick http://www.facebook.com/search/?q=Ch...&id=1262222808 Im 38, Single, 3 kids, shop is here in Barberton on Barber Road.....thats about it.....nothing secret, nothing strange.....I build stuff....even turbocharged gas powered wheelchairs....some of the pics are on one of the above links, it was my "Father Son" project to teach my 12 year old to weld RIGHT....Garret T3 turbo on a 5hp Techumsa Electric start snowblower motor....whines really cool....thats about it....Gonna be a pit vehicle if I can decide on Tiller or "Tilt Column" steering to get in or out easy. Locally Im a pretty private person, I have some very close friends I have been friends with 20+ years...and I am very close to my family, no needs outside of that. I know a few people in the area, and a few know "of" me but most not by name, mostly "that guy who built x" Amongst the bike guys Im much better known, not the squids but the "old timers" but exaclty how many "old timers" that are into the vinatge italian and european Gp stuff....well thats a pretty limited arena in this area as well. I understand 110% from where youre coming from as my friend Here says, and Ill call him "Mr. M" hes a very private lurker here one of the original max wedge campaigners and S/SS guy for 40+ years.....he likes to say. "Chris the internet is the worlds largest rolling insane asylum"...... I couldnt agree more .....hm what that says about me I have no idea, but Ive never been hung up on appearances.....as youll be able to see from the Bunny suit, Viking helmet and other pics Ive used to embarras my children...... Thanks for the well wishes Adger, I hope we get a chance to meet this year shake hands and shoot the shtuz as it were, and shake that cold, from what Ive been reading, youve been fighting it almost (2?) weeks now ? Pm me if you want my number, Id post it here but I think I might get a few crank calls....lol Quote:
