The best part is that the car is a 1970 2 door sedan just like the car I'm looking for. Hell, that's probably it.

Could this be the back-halved car you were talking about? From the United Manual Transmission Racers [UMTR North] website. They are based in North-East Ohio.

I suppose it's possible but it doesn't look like a two door sedan to me.
