Want my .02?....Quit blamming yourself. Like it or not, don't let Toyota dude's tune an EFI Mopar. Your car should have ran a WHOLE lot quicker.

I know what these new Hemi engines can produce. BTW, You know as well I do, I make a good part of my living building and tuning them.

I couldn't agree with you more. That car sure does looks great, however it should have yielded low 10's right out of the box. Is that the owner's fault?, driver's fault?, or the TUNER'S fault?.........Personally, I'd blame it on the tires, not the TUNER.

Once again, I have to give you guys an A for effort. For most of us, new cars have to be sorted out. Very seldom do they run fast right out of the box, although we always hope they will. You'll get there and I'm sure sooner rather than later.

I was born and raised in Akron. If I still lived there, I would enjoy coming around to lend a helping hand or at least give moral support.

Unlike Garlits, Jeggie or Roy Allen, I know you guys did do the majority of the work yourselves. That's what sportsman racing used to be all about. Not just showing up on race day with your helmut in hand.

An 8.99, yes I think in a year they will be capable possibly, youve ever put your hands in one of the Drag Pak motors, and know what the numbers on the spec side (not the blueprint guide) but flow numbers and dyno numbers of these engines then yes.... well I can tell you there are about 5 other guys right now who were sharing R&D info with that all agree between us well have 6 cam profiles and 5 different configs of headers as well as the trans stuff all by Gainesville....soo....much more effort than we could afford to do on our own or them on their own.....do any of us think its guarenteed ? No, do we think its possible , yes......are on the Im not saying its a lock, Im saying its possible I believe with some R&D and running out.......They are already with the few out there at 9.7s and fat. soooooooo......Probably the way they are theyre already good for 9.6.

Like I said to someone else my favorite quote is from Einstein "Wether you think you can or not youre right" so, in as much as you building one youre right, in as much as me building one Im right, were both right see how easy that was

Timeslips coming Pomona to Gainesville

Irv, the blog is http://newhemiracing.blogspot.com, I did it so I could track build progress and show others what they will be up against in terms of those like us who choose to do the rest of the build themselves with their own hands. Stupid shtuffzzz like this will get in the way of that and the like.

In as much as having no clue goes.......Its late and Im tired so maybe I took what you said the wrong way. If not, Ill be happy to wager Our car will be faster by Gainesville than any of your DP builds Name the stakes something friendly and in good spirit. Lunch, Dinner, a Ball Game. I heard you were doing a few more builds is that correct ? (Mind asking who for Zeeeee list ?)

Well see in a year from now if I was right, and youll see our timeslips dont expect our combo to be dialed in and wrung out till Gainesville.....Its looking very possible well be showing up at Pomona untested.

Would be a real kick to you guys if the guys who dont know jack run faster the first time out than Warford did wouldnt it

Cheers

Chris

Drooze: her's you quote from a while back, I don't guess you showed up Warford. Now you know ther's more to it than typing a 160WPM on a keyboard..Post your time slips as you said. Good Luck

Bobby is right! You stick with it Chris and don't pay any attention to the nay-sayers! We are all following you and can relate. We want you to succeed, and you will! Listen to Artie, he has been there and done that! Jim

Lol...thanks irv...touche....just like your rant about "disrespecting" the other DP owners....by adding HP ? Lol....whos got it under review ?

Right now weve got a rod hanging outta the pan....

Probably the biggest oildown all weekend, that I feel bad about I wanted to grab a mop and start cleaning it up myself.....

But live and learn, new motor will be ready to go as soon as I can get my hands on some pistons. Everything else is sitting waitng, then itll be my motor. And well....well continue to have fun.

Were still having fun, could be more fun, well...it will continue.

Were not "going away" , , well still keep

I got an 10.87 timeslip...lol...Im gonna frame it

Youre right we didne beat Warford, or you, we may have set a record though for the slowest DP pass...It woulda been nice, but weve still got some gremlins to sort out on things we did differnt. Well get em sorted out and have fun doing it , doing it all ourselves.

As far as being quiet...nah aint gonna happen.

Were having fun, if you were here youd see that even with a rod in the bottom of the pan, all is well Dad is healthy and weve got more stories in our life. THAT is worth more than anything.....

Cheers

Chris
