My Grandfather paid $10,000 for one new in 71, what a beast, I loved that car , its what started my Mopar/Imperial love affair. I sold it to a collector many years ago, had every option less 1 (the dimmer thing)

Car would hum along at 130+ like you were floating along.....no effort.

And it would get up and move (especially NOT from a dead stop

The funny thing is on the higway it got decent mileage, in the city I swear you could see the gas gauge move....

HotRod I think did a spread on a 64(5) where they continued to strip it down until they had only a bare frame running down the track.
