Dale you are exactly right. This is not about brand. I would be pissed off if GM was doing this too. I also agree with Bruce, both NHRA and the two manufacturers knew exactly what they were doing.

CRY,CRY,CRY
It's not fair
These car killing stock and ss
there not real cars
bogus hp rating

Well boys and girls bitc#ing is not going to do anything. This is the new stock and ss weather you like it or not. Change must happen for our class to make it. It is very simple race or don't race and bitc# about how it's not like the good old days. stk and ss have under gone many changes in the past 40 plus years and yet the class is still here . So when the U.S. Nationals comes around I will be there with my new mustang. Thank you ford racing for helping the sportsman racer.

Really Charlie? I thought it was dad's car since he's been paying all the bills. FOR A GUY WHO OWNS NOTHING , you sure have a high opinion of yourself . You need to sit back and find a little humility.

It's not as simple as you may think. Things may change and you may find yourself in a similar position.

Charlie, it has nothing to do with crying and has everything to do with standing up against corruption. This is nothing more than legalized cheating and NHRA is just as responsible as Ford and Chrysler. I don't think you are clairvoyant. Your vision of stock is not here and if enough of us say no it will not stand. Just remember it took NHRA to change the rules to allow these purpose built race cars in stock.

So Bruce, are you going to buy every combination that's capable of out running you, and ruin it for the next guy? Who'd be lacking the "sportsmanship" then?

So Sean, how is your father's CJ project progressing?

Reversing this foul situation would benefit 90% of the racers and cause no harm to the big money spenders.

My "BROTHER'S" CJ is doing just fine. Thanks for being so interested. Some of the "big spenders" were wondering, exactly what combo does that Corvette you have run? We'd like to participate in "reversing the foul situation!"

Thumbs down Re: Another bogus hp rating.

plain and simple! If your A big money guy you can now buy A way under factored high end car! NHRA wants to do away with the gear heads and this is the way to do it! Crate cars with crate engines. Turn key go race add fuel and repeat!

Sean,
Glad to hear you want to help "reverse this foul situation." You can start by writing letters to Graham Light and Gracia like we did; cc: Compton. You can tell them that your brother is building one of these little designer cars and yet you feel nhra should properly classify them. You could go on to say that pretty soon they will have only two types of cars running in Stock. Then you could tell them what a ruthless act it was for nhra to savage the racers who had supported nhra for decades; and, without notice. Thanks for being such a great guy and for helping the Stock / Super Stock racers. Please post a copy of your letter.

My Corvette can run AA/SA and A/SA as a big block car.

Thanks again for your offer to help.
