These are questions I'm not sure of but I am sure of one thing. NHRA has not done this because they didn't know what they were doing. They knew exactly what they were doing and how it would affect all of us .
IHRA does have a lot of classes to prevent this type of thing. Then, people complain because there are too many classes.Just goes to show that it is IMPOSSIBLE to make EVERYONE happy.

Nevertheless,if any racer truly feels that they are not getting a fair shake from NHRA,then why doesn't anybody show up at some of the IHRA races?

For example,in June at Joliet, there will probably be close to 100 Stockers for an NHRA Divisional. The following week, there is an IHRA Sportsnationals at Byron, and I doubt if 20 cars will even show up.WHY?

I have tried to support BOTH sanctioning bodies, because when the day comes where there is only one left,NOBODY is going to be happy with the ultimate outcome!

(DISCLAIMER:This is not personal to anybody. All I'm saying is that if you support the NHRA Division race at Joliet, you should consider supporting the IHRA race at Byron the following weekend.Without a better turnout at Byron,I'm afraid it might be their last year there.)

+1 here Daryl - by not supporting both, when we only have one playground left to play on, we will really see what the surviving sanctioning body thinks of us.

One word...............EGO's. The die hard NHRA guys wouldnt show up at an IHRA race if the race was in thier back yard and free entry.
