Well, after working on my car for a week and driving 2000 miles to the race track, I would be ready for two things. I would have to sip coffee and make sure my "do" was right. Then and only then would I be ready to race and let's hope they have a Porta-John and a newspaper in the staging lanes. God, I hope I didn't forget my I-Phone so I can text with the rest of my spare time in the staging lanes.

I do not understand how you could be late to the staging lanes, especially when we get to run at 7:00 AM. I plan the previous nights activities so I can be prepared in the morning.
I rationalize what pair do I want to be out. Should I be first in case I am one of the first couple of pairs out at 7:00 AM for eliminations the following day. Do I plan on being the last pair or so in the event that eliminations will be a couple of hours away or will be at late in the afternoon. I try to prepare the best possible scenario that I may face. My car and I are ready to go the night before.

Now the reality side of what happens: The plan on going to bed at say 9:00 PM goes out the window as the fun is continues. Beer usually tastes good on a Saturday night. The car has already been taken care except for the one thing that I forgot (insert anything). The food was great and friends retire. I think I'll have one more beer......................................
.....................................holy crap! Its 1:00 AM I'm going to bed........................................... The sound of the first Super Street car cranking up is the alarm clock, "Lord, do I really look like that " as I gaze at the mirror........ Wheres that Lil John..... Now, I need coffee.
OK, have we got it together, get in the car and lets go........Darn it I forgot (repeat insert).
I hope I'm on time to get to the lanes, theres not another stocker in sight as I head through the pits from the great pit space I was given, only maybe a half mile away from the starting line. At least I do not have to warm it up. Ahhh, I get there in time. That was'nt bad.
What do you mean my opponent is not here yet?

If a person is always late and causing difficult situations, they should be warned once. If it occurs a second time then the officials should close the lanes down when appropriate.

Just go back on drag race central and look who are the last one down the track at all the races. You can see the pattern from there and if you were running two cars don,t you think you whould what to be the first down the track so you had more time between rounds?
