Default Ss/ah

I'm looking over the SS qualifying in Vegas, and I notice that there is one SS/AH car there. Why is it that there are hardly any Hemi Cudas or Darts at national events? There are Mopar challenges across the country, but hardly ever do I see these cars competing at national events? Why?

I would say the CO$T$ and upkeep between rounds.
Basically a $100,000+ bracket car at a national event......

.IT IS A VERY TOUGH CALL AS THEY ARE VERY HIGH MAINTENANCE CARS. THE NEW INDEX. THE RECORD BEING CRUSHED AT THE END OF THE YEAR. BUT THEY STILL CAN WIN AS THEY DID LAST YEAR. JUST REMEMBER, AFTER THE QUALIFYING ,IT IS ONE BIG BRACKET RACE UNLESS YOU MEET YOUR SAME CLASS CAR IN ELIMINATIONS. LIKE THE MAN SAID--A VERY EXPENSIVE BRACKET CAR.-------------------------------------------SPEED COSTS MONEY--HOW FAST DO YOU WANT TO GO ? SS/AH IS A TRUE TEST OF EGO VS 401K LOL

It's close to $100,000 for an engine, transmission and torque converter.

See you at the races,

Just as an aside on the money, there is a certain '62 Plymouth in Stock that the owners admitted they had about $100,000.00 in it.......racing at cheap!

Thanks for all the replies. Do these guys just compete at the Mopar shows then, or match race, or what? Oh, and there are two in competition in Vegas. My eyes aren't that young either.
