The Challenger has an independent rear suspension from the factory and just like all the previous independent rear suspension NHRA has allowed an approved design so that a solid rear axle can be used. Here are several pics of the factory stuff(hope these loaded correctly.

Hey guys dont get to excited.

The extra attachment points are for testing purposes only just like race pak data loggers in stock and super stock . The attachment points are straight from the Drag Pak Manual. Most of the Drag Pak cars look very similar under the rear.
The new Camaros also have independent rear suspension and will have to be fabricated as well.

I guess I didn't clarify the "attachment points" I was looking at. But, from what info I info I ever got regarding ROLL BAR/CAGE installations, for stock eliminator it was "limited" to SIX attachment to chassis, REGARDLESS of whether car has frame or uni-body. I was not referring to the multiple four bar locations; that's another story.

My apologies for the confusion.

I still like these cars cuz ya don't hafta deal w/old, rusty stuff!!!!

Regarding the attachment point issue, I think your looking at an old, outdated rulebook. There are full cages in Stock Eliminator cars. Don't forget, there are sub 9 second A cars!

After seeing what was stock I see why this was allowed. I did not know what was OEM........Makes more sense than trying to make the stock stuff survive and is way safer. I was parked next to a well known Corvette SS'er during a race when it crashed. It had the IRS rear.........something broke and it went over the guardrail....

Who approves this stuff?

Looks awesome. You can't find a nicer car than a Takash car.

And for everyone thats crying about the car. Im pretty sure you can still go buy one and build it. Also I dont think he is trying to hide anything, since he posted pictures for all to see.

Thumbs up Re: Latest Pictures of Mac Reeves Drag-Pak Challenger

I love it. hats off to the chassis guy......this is what class racing is all about.

not everyone wants to build just a stock bracket car.

pushing the limits of the class are what the advantage is all about ,period end of story. With custom fabrication, the time, work and the thought that goes into your work always is going to threaten others and be open for challange.
