Default Wheelie Bars

Anyone know what the issue was with the wheelie bar notice to Stock Eliminator on the Lucas section of NHRA site? Been there a wek or so. I know you are supposed to attach the bars to the rear axle only. I had Jim Bailey make some brackets some time back for one of my Stock cars. They really work great. Jim has a laser cutter and can make really great stuff. Once it was in the computer, he made several. Used a kit from CE, and welded them up. Someone need brackets, let me know. jefft@southlanddodge.com

Jeff
The notice was mostly directed at folks running AJE bars. They attach to the rear but about 1/2 way down each bar there is a strut that goes up to the floor/ frame or whatever. Theory is that when the wheelie wheels hit the pavement the car pivits on the contact point on the floor/frame and pushes the slicks down. Not legal in Stock or Super Stock according to the rule book but have been allowed in some divisions. The notice only mentions Stock.

They are for 3" tubes. We got the placement of the 3" opening and the position of the upper and lower hole from Competition Engineering. Mark Oswald ( lives in Houma) created the bracket on the computer, downloaded it to Jim Bailey in Ohio (uploaded maybe, over my grade level), who the cut them. Really neat. Will swap for beer. Going to Dallas tomorrow, will get some pics next week.
