I'm certainly not a proponent of Tube Frame '55 Chevys, Dusters or Fairlanes for Super Stock? That sounds like a Super Street or Super Gas car to me. No wonder this **** is outta control!

Super Stock is now comprised of Comp Cars with Stocker motors.... and Stock has evolved into some high dollar - "hybrid" bracket class, where almost anything goes as well!

I'm not sure that its a case of some tech people letting certain things slide. I think it is more of nobody in tech ever looks. When was the last time you saw a techman get down on the ground and look under a car they are teching?
This illegal modification was seen because a picture was put on the forum. That picture was clearly evident to many readers that this car has illegal floors. Now it comes to light that there may be other SS/GT conversion cars out there that also have illegal floors. Will the rule be enforced and floors replaced or will once again the powers that be cave and the rule get changed? |
