The first day of getting my driver's license I left the school grounds and ran to the house(only about a block away) and got my '68 SS 396 Chevelle and drove back to school. When school let out several of my friends who already had fast cars left the parking lot smokingthe tires. I was about the fifth one to leave smoking the tires and went down to first corner took a right and left a black mark and smoke all the way down the hill and up the next and just shifted into high gear when I looked in the rearview mirror to see our friendly town marshall with blue lights flashing come through the smoke.
He didn't write me a ticket but followed me home to make sure mom knew all about my driving that day. Needless to say it was embaressing to have mom scold me in front of the marshall. Looking back now it was pretty funny but it wasn't too cool when it was happening.
