I believe that the only connection "pinks" has with NHRA unleased are the TV prodcuers -- a diehard, trueblood NHRA classracer WILL NOT get the ORSCA deal. It is unfortunate, but this will end up being more successful (spectator-wise) than any portion of the sportman program whether in a divisional or national setting -- this I believe will rub these guys the wrong way and the unleashed competitors will be treated as the sportcompact guys were a number of years ago. The diffference here -- "street legal" headsup competitiors seem to be way more committed to a racing series, than their predecessors in sportcompact. It is a way of life to these guys.................they live it and breathe it more than anyone from the outside will ever understand.

Please try though, because once you go headsup in Outlaw 10.5 or Limited Street car -- you'll never go back to class racing....................

It's just class racing with different rules and fewer classes. As pointed out there are some index classes for those who can;t compete heads up.

The only thing I don't like is the classes allow power adders, I would prefer having an all motor class, but that wouldn't keep me away.

Hey Nate how are you doing?? If you have ever get to this type of racing it is incredible.. The outlaw 10.5 guys run mid 4's on 10.5 tires at 3000 + pounds .. Sounds easy ... Just try it.. This show is more like the adrl than pinks.. Call me sometime Nate..

John Lingenfelter and Ohio George would fit right in. These cars are amazing Example: http://yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=252138 . Chassis are promods only on 10.5 tires.

The Index classes are different than NHRA's .90's as they do something that NHRA should have done along time ago. No delay boxes, throttle stops, or timers.

No one on here has commented on NHRA Unleashed. Alot of conversation on other sites both good and bad. Mainly the heat. Seems they filled most of the classes. A very good article and photos on Competition Plus. They have all of the times for all of the cars in each round.

How is 25 or 30 cars in a 9.0, 10.0 or 11.0 index class not all heads up racing? The pro tree flashes and thats it.

Maybe its because no one on here really gives a s##t ! Most on this site are NHRA and IHRA "CLASS LEGAL" stock and Super Stock racers and/or fans Let the other sites have at it. If it was such a good show then there would have been all kinds of threads and comments about it. Not everyone is into nitrous and other power adders on 10.5 tires with Pro mod chassis cars.

Because in the 9.0, 10.0 and 11.0 index classes if you go under you loose. That is not heads up. Heads up is first to the finish line wins no mater how fast they go.

X-Tech, I know most here really don't care what happens. First of all you don't know me or my car. My car is a "legal" NHRA and IHRA class car which has been teched and pass in both bodies. I really like the idea; however, of being able to run my car where I want and when I want. If I elect to go run for a "Wally" at NHRA Unleashed in front of several thousand people versus running in front of one thousand or less and at a lot less entry fee, that is what I want to do.

I saw the tv coverage from Englishtown just like everyone else did. Did you look at how many spectators were there? Since some one earlier in this thread asked if someone would report how it turned out, will some one who is at Bristol this week-end take some photos of grand stands on both sides of the track? I will in turn take photos of the grand stands on October 1 at the race at Bristol and compare who really cares.

Im not saying you dont have the right to do what YOU want with your car. All Im saying is why keep pushing an agenda that very few on THIS SITE cares about. If it was a popular subject the thread would be awash with comments and BS like the other threads. Go for it and enjoy. Its all about choices.
