Just so I understand this correctly, the street legal car that anyone could purchase from the dealer is not legal for me to race in Stock Eliminator, but the limited production, not street legal, kit car is OK for Stock Eliminator? |

I didn't hire the folks that designed and approved these new cars for production. But it is called "Stock Eliminator" right? As in factory production? We had a 3800 6 powered '87 GM product which got 30mpg on the highway and could cover about 1,320' in less than 14 sec. We also had a '04 3800 6 powered GM product which got 29mpg and covered the same 1,320' in about 17 sec, without a map light! Both at about 3,700#. Rumor is they went bankrupt for some reason. I know why. If that is what it a Challenger weighs, (thinking that might be a tad light, more like 4,000 with driver the way the ground shakes when the go by) I'd gladly have raced the car at that weight. I am sure glad Travis told us about the 1978 Gremlins. I will take them off my wish list.
