...really thought if a Division should step up it was D2 but what the hey. This race has appeared on the schedule for several days but NHRA site just headlined it today. End of July in Spokane can be HOT HOT HOT...maybe next year they can swap the Mission date with Spokane's.
Come on D2, step up already!

Nothing will be added this year. And if they (NHRA) require Slop Alcohol to be run at any Division 2 races, there won't be any added next year, either. Orlando and SGMP aren't going to run Slop Alcohol, and neither are Bruton's tracks.
It'd be nice if Charlotte or Bristol would have a division race a week before or a week after their national events, like Chicago does. Of course, it'd be nice to have a SportsNational in Division 2 as well, don't see that happening either, if they force Slop Alcohol on the host track.

Alan, you mean you don't enjoy watching 2 or 3 Alcohol out of Division racers (and I mean WAY out of the Division) kick around a couple of locals?
At least we get a National Open at one of the top three tracks in the South..

Isn't this race the same weekend as the D6 National Open in Medicine Hat?

What weekend are we talking about?
I'm sorry, I don't see any previous reference to these dates or the actual announcement of the Spokane Pts. Race.... I FOUND IT!!

Pretty unusual to schedule two Divisional races on the same weekend, especially only 400 miles apart...which of course is an easy tow for you D5, 6, and 7 folks. The scheduling of Divisional races is simply mind boggling to me; like something a Racer Elected Committee should do, the track owners who hang onto "their" dates would be better supported if they let the racers develop the schedules.

I was emailed about than spokane race only 3-4 weeks ago, THe Med.hat race has been same weekend for a lot of years. The spokane race only showed up on the nhra schedule about 2 weeks ago, problem is most will go to the divisional instead of the nat.open. and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the 'Hat. Pisses me off I mean there is only so many races and the same sanctioning body schedules two races on the same weekend HELLO!!!
