Just a casual observation........Timing chains don't often break......unless of course something in the valvetrain hits something else......and yes valves are almost certainly bent.....I would think.... but don't have any first hand knowledge about these engines......

Past performances by this group seems to point to some conclusions one could make.....BUT...

I cannot say what I think because it is apparently Politically Incorrect to say anything other than praise for their efforts......and to blame all their problems on various issues all of which are outside of their control.......

Well we picked up a little more. Went a 10.51. There were quite a few weighing that round so evidently others picked up, too. The air was a little worse, didn't look to see what it figured yet. Well Keith didn't make it down in the Droozemobile. Don't know just what happened. They were looking for oil to put in the car?????

The weather is kinda crazy. Overcast and black, then blue skies and sunny. Windy, too. Last run 14mph.

1st round matchup.....# 1 AA/S Fezell vs. #32 TS/A Ed F....Fezell's got time to eat his breakfast Egg McMuffin before he even thinks about leaving.....maybe a chance to see how fast this CJ really can go? Tighten those belts, Ed, he'll be coming fast....(although I've seen you overcome icewater-in-your-veins matchups like this many times before).....interesting race, for sure... WJ

My pops gets a heads up race against a new CJ. Though Chris is in E/SA and Dad is in B/SA.... They both will be dialed in exactly the same.. LOL..

Larry, looks like you need to tune up a little. Heads up with a crate motor Mustang.

Yeah, 3 heads up races in Stock, and one in Super Stock.

Considering that he has the 2 fastest runs in Stock history (9.411@147 a couple of weeks ago at the E-town Nat. in Q1, and 9.412@148 at the Atco D-1 points race in May); I believe that we have seen how fast it can go. I was at E-town for the 9.411 and, believe me, he ran it all out. The CJs are very soft off the starting but, from the 330' cone to the finish line, the supercharger is at full effect.
As for his first round match with Ed F.; I wouldn't be surprised to see Fezell break out.

From what I gather...they are still only using part throttle. Last year, the CJ's in Brett Hajak's stable were set at 56% throttle. Think on that awhile.
