Re: live from Cecil County-NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Good morning -- Today doesn't seem to be nearly the day yesterday was - here it is 7am and not much sunshine and the temp much lower - hopefully the overcast will burn off .
In conversations I had last evening at Uncle Bucks' ( yes ,Uncle Buck had a little get together last evening with not one but two giant smokers - but thats a story for another time ) most racers were satisfied the NHRA and Cecil County were doing everything they could to give us a good track - yes a bunch of cars spun yesterday but you have to remember it is August and the Sun was beating down hard on the track yesterday afternoon so at times it became a little slippery - but they did try hard to keep up with it .Ask anyone who made one of the clean-up runs after the Sun went down - the place had teeth . This reporter was one of those who went out around 7:45pm and had his best 60' of the weekend .
I'll be back after our final time trial of the weekend later this morning - opps , one last thing-- because of possible bad weather coming tomorrow we are to race at least two rounds of everything today and possibly more -- stay tuned ...............
