Had a Pace or Vintage been available within $500 of what I paid for my Haulmark, I would have bought them first. But, for $4500, I coudnt skip over it. My basic 2005 24' Haulmark has treated me perfect. Other than replacing the tires at exactly 4 years, greasing the hubs, and just recently adjusting the brakes. It's not fancy, but it gets the job done and I keep it clean, so everyone actually compliments it once in a while. Do get the 5200 pound axles.
The 48" side door is nice, too. |

Check the curb weight also, depending on what you're pulling it with.

no doubt, some of the pace/united/haulmark/vintage types can get very heavy very quickly

We had a Haulmark 24' Thrfty Hauler for about 4 years, sold it for what we paid for it. It served us well. Stepped up to a loaded 28' Pace and couldn't be happier.
