Thats good news John. Lots of us on this board have been affected by there own or others cancers. My mother is about at her 4 year cancer free mark after beind diagnosed with a stage 3 stomach cancer at 44. She was given a 40% 5 year survival rate. So we are getting a little bit ansy haha. I guess they say if you make it 5 years your chances of beating it for good are a lot higher... She hasnt been to the dragstrip since she was married to my dad 30 years ago. She has pretty much hated everything about it until recently. I think she is finally at a phase where she just wants me to be happy, so she wants to go to the track with me now.. Whether I make it too Indy or not I think I may take her just so she can see what its all about.
On that topic.. I have to work today, but I hope to have the trans done this evening. Id say its almost a definite that the car will be ready to take to BG, but I dont have the best cams (yes plural) and a few other things in there. So I may go to BG for the grade point, but if its not as fast as Id like im not going to waste the time and money on Indy if I can get in after someone withdrawals. |
