A bit of trivia for you, but in the 1980s before the IHRA had a PAFC division, the alky flops ran as S/F [Super Funny] and had a 6.40 index. One of them actually made it to the quarters at one race I was at.

Not that this would fit into any NHRA class, but an interesting 4 cylinder funnycar none-the-less.
Dave Bonbright's dual blown, flat-4 VW funnycar! I watched Dave drive this thing at Fremont Raceway back in the day, at one of the VW events. |

Steve,,,How right you are on that. I'd not been in the Comp and Modified section for some time, so when I clicked on and saw Drooze's posts, it all came rushing back. He sounds so enthusiastic thinking about the possibilities of the turbo F/C, and even mentioning about the "house being done soon", so he could get on with his next project. So sad..
