I purchased this for a friends race car, turns out he did'nt want it. Since I have no use for it, here's the listing. This is a used item but there is nothing wrong with it. TCI Rattlers do not need rebuilding. I am offering this for what you might pay for a chineese balancer which might fly off your engine one day and cause all sorts of carnage. If it doen't take out your crank, it will at least make some damage to the surrounding sheet metal!
This harmonic nalancer has an SFI rating of 18.1 and the SFI sticker is still intact. Laser etched timing marks. This is a quality TCI part. TCI is an industry leader in building quality after market race parts (owned by Comp Cams). I've got $197.00 wrapped up into this part, bidding starts at $175.00 and the highest bid wins. This is a no reserve auction! $15.00 will cover shipping to the lower 48 states. Below is a description I lifted from Summit Racing ($368.95 new, Jegs $371.99 new) : Brand TCI Auto Manufacturer's Part Number 870018 Part Type Harmonic Balancers Product Line TCI Rattler Torsional Vibration Absorbers Summit Racing Part Number TCI-870018 UPC 788120022149 Engine Balance Internal Balance Style Neutral Safety Rating SFI 18.1 Degree Markings Yes Degree Marking Range 360 Outside Diameter (in) 6.290 in. Harmonic Balancer Material Steel Harmonic Balancer Construction Nine internal rollers Harmonic Balancer Finish Black powdercoated Mounting Hardware Included No Quantity Sold individually. Notes Weight is 8.00 lbs. May require redrilling of pulley bolt hole location. These Rattler torsional vibration absorbers by TCI are pendulum absorbers developed to control amplitudes of vibration and angle of crankshaft twist like no other design. Their ability to absorb, rather than dampen, is the key to their success. The Rattlers are effective for the entire rpm range and they extend crankshaft and bearing life. The Rattlers also allow the engine to run more smoothly, which can potentially increase valvetrain stability and life. Their design does not utilize viscous fluids and they require virtually no maintenance. You can always depend on the Rattlers' timing marks to be correct because they're etched onto the body and cannot move relative to the crankshaft centerline. The Rattlers are also lighter in weight than most units of the same size and material construction, plus they're SFI 18.1 certified. Class Racer members can buy this for $175.00 without going to my ebay auction. Just send me a PM and I'll need PayPal payment. Once received I will drop the ebay auction. $15.00 shipping in lower 48.
