On the Cuda yes, Although they only came on Six Packs and Hemis. But can I claim the car as a 383 Barracuda and use the shaker. ?

Phillip, If you will look at the engine specs. for thr 1971 Chrysler you will see it list two diferent carbs for the 383/ 300 hp. its under note 4. I think its a 6191 list for auto 4668 list for the stick. The 340 even had a shaker along with the 1970 440/ 370. Hope this helps.

Thanks Larry, My question is regarding a 1970 Barracuda not a 1971 Cuda though.
P.S I finally bought some new radial slicks for the Coronet but they didn't help although it is going thru the traps with more RPM now, Enough to get back into valve float again.aaarrrggghhhhh!

When I came home from my Southeast Asian vacation I bought a new '70 Cuda with 340, 4sp and a Shaker Hood. If the 340's had them then I'm sure the 383's had them. JimR
