I don't agree one single bit about NHRA Executives being what you are calling them I have talked with them and they all have always been up front with me in nearly every single situation so far, so in my opinion what you are saying is unfounded
They make "HOW MUCH" for "HOW MANY HOURS " they call work ! They are NOT worth it ! Wow...have they ever got you fooled ! They are talking and acting just like politicians.

I just happen to have a 2008 tax return for NHRA in front of me. There are a few things that stand out. First there is $20,662,736 in salaries and benefits. $122,564365 in total revenue. Some of the expenses that might raise eyebrows: $24,035950 in advertising,$15,747,739 in office expense, which doesn't include any salaries or rent, right at $10,000,000 in other or all other expenses,$4,046,243 in travel expenses, $24,235,425 for prize money and trophies, $10,946,985 to track operators [ I'm guessing this is their share for National events ]. There are 10 people with total compensation over $200,000, with Compton being the highest at $771,632, Peter Clifford at $427,274, Graham Light at $353,782 and the one that really stands out Dallas Gardner $319,073 for 10 hours a week.

As high as we may think these salaries are the real money is in the expenses and where or who it is going to. $15 mil in office expense, give me a break. Almost 10 mil in other expenses. For the amount of revenue these expenses are nuts. Looks to me like a detailed audit would be in order.

It's nothing personal, it's just business.

A lawyer with his briefcase can steal more money than a hundred men with guns.

The NHRA is a successful operation. You hire the best law firm and
accountants that money can buy.

Capitalism at its finest.
