I've said it before,,and I'll say it again,,,if you've got any old photos collecting dust or sitting in a box,,snap them up and ship them off to Bob. I've done it a couple times and he takes good care of them and gets them back to you. At least this way they're out there for all of us to enjoy. I know I'm not the only contributor to Bob's collection, and I thank those who have participated, but I know theres got to be tons of pictures going unnoticed that can be posted,,especially with the off season just a few weeks away.
So,,everybody, start digging through your stuff,,,,,How was that Bob? Danny Durham |

Yes, beautiful car. I remember going down to Columbus (Indiana) to his Sunoco station (the location is now a Burger King) just to check out the car. He had some help from Sox&Martin if I recall correctly. We kind of had our own "east coast rivalry" here in the midwest. Sox&Martin had their fingers in Englands car. I remember Truppi-Kling gave some backdoor help to fella named Bob Williams. Bob had a wicked 70 or 71 Chevelle, BBC that ran primarily in SS/DA. He and England had some good races here in the heartland. I know I'm getting old now, maybe someone else can remember the name of Bob Williams car?

Bob Williams is my neighbor. His car was called Double Trouble. He is still a cool gear head. He has a pro street nova and an ss trail blazer in his collection.

Thanks Tommy. Yeah, that was it. It's been 35 years or more since those days. I was just a pup back then, prowling the tracks, trying to learn. I imagine he can tell some wonderful stories.
