Incidently, thought my snail only 60's 1.75,I won Stock at Atco in 2006.I was the last car down the track after everybody, including most of thr Div 1 personnel bailed (about 10:30PM) and it was coooold. My 60' was the same as all the others that day.So I guess what you and others are saying about the new compound might have merit. Sorry for injecting previous tales of earlier accomplishments.:>):>):>)

No problem Ed. I just wish certain people would "MAN" up and tell us the truth to the issue and not what they want you to hear.

I was one of the few cars to run on Sunday and I didn't have any issues getting down the track at all. But, I didn't run before the delay to let the sun beat on the track, I made sure I stayed in the groove, and I didn't hit the brakes at the finish line.

I am wondering what, if anything, did the Atco crew do to the track that was/is different then there regular bracket/test program? Based on what has been said, that they did everything they could to make the track safe. Therefore, the problem lies in the use/mixture of a different traction compound? Why is this question such a hard one to answer? I am sorry for those that wrecked and prayers go out to the ones hurt.

Is an "Act of God" reason enough to be entitled to a (partial) refund if I can not get off work next Friday to make the rescheduled event that was not completed due to inclement weather? Just asking lol..

We can not get it all done in one day And we need to give everyone a time run, and still have a back up for weather. Most of the racers I spoke with would prefer Friday over Monday Monday would need to be the weather problem day if we ran Sat and Sun Thanks Bob Lang NHRA Northeast Division Director 366 Easton Road Warrington, PA. 18976 Phone - 215-343-2558 Fax 215-343-0159 Website – nhradiv1.com Are you an NHRA member yet? We the sportsmen have to work and most cannot take a other day off. I myself cannot return on the Friday. The makeup for Atco should be on Saturday and Sunday. The race can be finished on Saturday and have a rain date of Sunday. |
