Guys, is there any way we can write a letter strongly expressing our desire to run the rest of the Atco race on Saturday the 16th and get the majority of the remaining competitors to sign/approve it? Don't the guys coming from extremely long distances have to leave a day or two in advance in order to be race-ready for Friday, thus burning even more vacation? With the low number of remaining cars and what looks to be an enticing 10 day forecast, we should be able to get the entire race in on Saturday or by noon on Sunday at the latest.

NHRA is trying to be cooperative with regards to Reading...Bob Lang replied back to me and said they would tech me in if I showed for Friday morning. Glendora is transferring no shows also.

I'd say that is a pretty admirable reaction by D1 & NHRA in light of the current situation.

I'm planning on arriving Thursday late afternoon, with the hopes of parking and teching. There exists a decent chance that I don't make it in time to get in. Between me and the kids, we have four entries. I hadn't even considered that tech would be closed Friday morning till I read Joe's post, but obviously it makes sense that it could be. Not to be redundant, but Joe, you're very sure that Lang said we can tech Friday am?
Thanks... |

I also didn't consider tech being closed on Friday. I was going to work tomorrow and head up early Friday morning or late tomorrow night. Are they shutting it down at 5pm sharp tomorrow? I know Joe personally asked Bob Lang but was Lang only extending the offer to Joe for his circumstances or to all the sportsman entries?
