Take that picture of Bobby Bender off the site....It just cracked my screen....haha Good to see you yesterday Bender, I'll make sure I drag the old man out for the Dutch so he can pay the sponsor money for winning class.

From what I heard last night when I left Comp was getting 1 shot and into 1st round, S/C and S/G both still have to get their time shots cause they got the hook yesterday when the "Weepers" came up. They will only run 1 round today and 2nd round will be on Sunday...Stk, SStk, Super Street all will get 2 rounds today. The Alky Cars may go into 1st round today since time is limited. I did see the run order yesterday but, as they they say "Subject to Change". As Jack said it will be a Jam Packed day at the Grove!!

Super/Stock rd1 - Fetch over Linke , Allen over Fazio , Bertozzi goes dead on over Porpora , Lisa over Sheenan in a double break out deal , Chiles over Porter who couldn't run the number ,Noll wins when Daniels goes red , Jewell over Newton when both have late lights , Butner over Leber who went .007 but broke out , Antonette wins when Iacono goes out by .007 , Bloom over VanPoppel , Cantucci dead on against Kupp , Haag beats a broken Thomas ,Santangelo wins when Gallagher breaks , Sepanek over Trevanek , Thomas Fletcher goes .007 at the tree to get past Sam Biondo , Dan Fletcher sends Worner packing when he runs out , Private Ryan wins ,Downing wins when a broken Hanley doesn't show .

While there is some downtime -- walking to the scales this morning I realized there was a new edition -- "Scales Maximus" is what I would call this out building - every track should do this -- neat deal for sure .............

Just for your info its now close to 3pm Saturday and S/Comp has yet to make a pass of any kind - maybe we shouldn't complain about our stuff ......................Could it be the NHRA has found a new class to dump on .

Just for a moment forget we're in a recession , never mind 10% unemployment , don't talk about what President Obama is doing wrong...............maybe i'm nuts but a whole group of other people thought that way when they got up this morning because this reporter can't remember the last time he's seen this place this full - this isn't Sunday / race day - its still qualifing ......what or who will tomorrow bring ? ?

The Stauffer family hit this one out of the park.........and the Pro fans are getting their money's worth .Kudo's also to Lex Dudas and his crackerjack staff .

Jack, as usual your reporting is Top Notch.
But your pictures of 1st round of stock didn't hardly show anyone in the stands on the other side, i guess it was tooo early for people to get up & watch stock elim.

The other thing i was curious about: Why did the spectators have to pay for parking???
$10. & that was inside Maple Grove's lot not on the outside at someone's house.
I never recalled paying for parking here or anywhere else for that matter.

Oh well, keep up the good reporting.

Jack is right..... this place is packed!
I have never seen this many fans on a non-sunday!
Yesterday was almost as packed.... I'm sure this will be a record breaking weekend for MG.

Also... the $10 parking was along side the track (on spectator side), the track did offer free parking to the right and left of the track.
