Going off the history timeline on my car, I want to say 1973. That is when Kenny Lau put the 14x32's under it. It might have been 1972 though.

So I assume there would have been a time when leaf spring and tubbed car would have ran together in SS.. I presume the top classes like SS/AA and SS/BA would have been the first cars to be tubbed.

My Dodge was EA at the time, DA with the aluminum nose. It had S/S springs and 14x32's Firestone's.

Did he move the stock rails in or built new rails? Do you run a 4 link in it now?

Chrysler sells a kit that relocates the spring to the framerail, so neither. The car has a ladder bars now, it was done sometime in the 80's I believe. It is not a legal S/S car anymore. Give me a few years to save some money...

WOW I didn't think you could get a 14 between the rail and the quarter.

But then again I fit a 11.5 inch without moving my springs when I had my Big Block Aspen..

Is yours a factory Max Wedge?

I'm really curious about the Hemi Darts/Barracudas. You either see then all in leafs or all in 4 link.. It's like it was an over the winter change in the early 1970's..

It was the 70's...

It is not a factory Max Wedge car.

The 70's was a weird time.. you started seeing the wheelie bars attached to the axle housing instead of straight down under the back bumper.. you saw 4 link cars.. you see funny cars going to solid mounting to the frame... the 70's was a weird time in racing..
