I have to go with Jim Durham. He can go as fast as he wants to and lord knows I've seen his tail lights plenty of times over the years.

My 340 went 10.72 119.99 at Rockingham,NC at 1100 DA. The Motor is still in country in a orange duster which is one of the fastest still! Power by Parsons&Myers. This was at GSA weight.

John Shaul had a red 340 Duster that ran 10.50 back in 2005. I think it was Mike Farrell at the wheel running E/SA.

The Shaul Duster was wheeled by Ralph Conte.

I originally built the car Shaul owned. I went 10.99 at the 95 Winters with it. In testing 12/94 I went as fast as 10.86. Not fast now but fast for the time.

Who did the engine in this car ? Thats flying, especially since it was five years ago.

Dave,
Mike drove John Shaul’s Duster from 2002-2005. During that time he won a Divisional, an Open, multiple Class wins (including Indy) and the Open Series Championship. The fastest run was 10.58 @ 125 in 2004. Mike said it was okay if you didn’t remember, he knows that you’re getting old….
Now remember, I’m quoting Mike here. Please don’t ‘shoot the messenger’ next year - at tech.

Jim , I remember very well Mike driving the car when John first got it and all the controversy it caused with the dual Hood Scoops and the Pink steering wheel. He did very well with that car. Just was stating that in addition to Mike driving it , Ralph did also. And yes I am getting older and starting to look at rocking chairs . LOL
