I recall that a National event entry once included 2 crew passes......maybe 3
NHRA just keeps finding ways to get more $$$$ from it's members There is no alternative in many areas and they know it. Without competition you get a monopoly and NHRA has one..... IHRA had made some inroads around here once but faded. Atco was IHRA for a few years....

NHRA probably is a monopoly, but $35 more for a couple or races is not going to keep be away

Bob I've been told by the higher up's that due to the price increase in entry fee that BK Race cars will only be able to pay .25 cents for every round you go in 2011 compared to the 1.00 that we used to pay....sorry times are tight!

I think what you may be referring to is the restricted passes per entry? You still have to pay for the crew pass to get the restricted area sticker on it.

SO let the fuel cars pay the extra insurance.. and maybe even an entry fee! That is peanuts to them since they are fully funded by multi millionaire budgeted sponsors.. what the hell is $270.. oh I'm sorry, $305 dollars to teams whose sponsors spend $3,000 every time their car makes a pass? NHRA knows racing to us is like cigarettes to..well..a smoker. We are going to pay whatever we can to enjoy that thing that makes us happy after a week of "life." Put your minds together and formulate an alternative plan for racer's to enjoy their sport, while getting a fan base, and tv exposure. Isn't that why everyone runs NHRA events? It can't be for the payouts or the efficient daily schedule of events can it? It is solely because you want to win one of their events or a championship in front of spectators and maybe get your final round on espn2, right? Last edited by Bobby Fazio; 12-17-2010 at 08:45 AM. |
