If both cars break-out, do they both lose? This is just bracket racing with a forced dial, like the super classes. Think about it, if you "go faster than your class index", you will be faster on the score board and lose. The cars left at the same time, whoopee. Do fans really care about that so much it will save racing? This is not heads up racing. There would be more dumping in these classes than during class eliminations!

One of the throttle stop cars made it to the quarter finals, yet no one seemed to notice his car falling on it's face everytime it launched, running 9.01 or 9.02 every round. I like the heads up racing on a pro tree a lot, I just wish they would make everyone follow the rules.
How was this allowed from the beginning if the electronic aids were forbidden ?Why didnt anyone complain and have the cars in question DQ'ed? Does anyone know the full weitten rules of what is allowed and not allowed and index breaks of the Unleashed deal ?

Correct, it is "just like the Super classes"...except for all the timers.

Wrong, it really is heads-up racing. With a breakout, like every other Sportsman class.

Correct, there will be lots of dumping - there was at Unleashed. Just like the Super classes.

What's not to like, except the fact that many of your 632s to run 8.90 and 9.90 would be obsolete in these classes? If you don't like them, don't run them, don't even watch them, start the grill a bit early.

No throttle stops or timers, Nitrous is permitted. Super Street could be a great class if same rules applied and they ran at National events. Yes there will be whomping at the end but it's better then cars on the stop which is very painful for me to watch and most to understand. I believe big mph will still have a advantage. I'm guessing alot of high gear foggers or big plate systems.

Lord, I would hate to think I needed to spray one to run 10, 11 or 12 flat. Big MPH in a car that slow? Seriously?

wrong. Heads up runs in stock and ss do not have a break out, heads up classes such as outlaw drag radial, outlaw 10.5 etc are heads up, they do not have a break out. All this is is what the super classes were before electronics.

Does anyone even know if those cars were running a throttle stop? Just because they fell on their face didn't mean they had timers. I've done it with my street pickup truck at Dragway 42 for their 20.0* index class New Year's Day. Launch in Low 1, run it up to a certain rpm, lift, let it drop to a certain rpm, get back in it, put it in Drive. 19.97 on the first run, adjust rpm from there. It's not that hard.

$.02,
