Default Chrysler Racers Please Read,

I have enclosed an email my dad recieved from a close friend about Bob Cahill. Bob was the head of the Chrysler Race Program from the beginning and was one the main guy. Everyone rolled up to him and he was one of the main reasons Chrysler dominated in the 60's and 70's. My dad worked close with him during this timeframe. Bob retired from Chrysler after 50 years working for them. NOW HE NEEDS OUR HELP.
Please read the email I have copied below.

Dear Chrysler guys,

Bob Cahill and his high school sweetheart decided last summer to be together more, so he moved to Little Rock to be near Molly.

This fall he broke his right arm.

Dec 3 he and Molly left for North Little Rock from Charlottesville. As they were nearing their destination, they were in a car accident~ 4th in line in a multi car pile up. Front end of car gone and $5,000 damage to his car.

On Dec 7th ~ 43 boxes of his possessions arrived at the Presbyterian Village where he is living.

Somehow he fell over backwards and broke his left arm. so was put in the health care unit because he can no longer use his walker without arms as now both arms are broken.

Anyway, Bob's really having a tough time right now. He's pretty discouraged.

I think it would be wonderful if we could send him a bunch of get well cards.

Can you help me by spreading the word to guys on your lists? Thanks.

Will he accept visitors? He is about 20 miles away. Maybe some encouragement?

If you're racing anything MOPAR-oriented - you owe this guy BIG TIME! Bob Cahill fought untold corporate battles to make the Chrysler racing program what it was and his legacy helped make it what it is today.

Further, he was drag racing's friend at a time when the sport really needed that.

I'm gonna go get a card tomorrow and send it to Bob telling him how much what he gave meant to the sport we love and all motor sports.

Please do likewise. A family member is hurting. We can help. DO THIS!
