Remember how HOT it was at Byron, Ill. during the US Class Nationals ? It sure didnt hurt the car count there as I teched in everyone of them.......LOL. I have heard the same about Florida in the summer. After being here for a season the weather wasnt as bad as most say. I sure beats the heck out of snow and ice with freezing temps all winter long !

That's what I'm talking about. I rather it be 103 degrees everyday then 33 degrees everyday. Hell, down here in Louisiana, weather is so nice to us, we race 12 months a year.
Well, to each their own. I spent my basic and AIT in Fort Polk, La. in 1971 starting in May. Great place to go for jungle training. There were days it got so hot and humid that the army would actually back down on the training. -----------John

If they do have a low car count it will not be because of the track, it is as good as any including the location. The economy is more of a factor as well as more people are looking for a reason to "not race" for whatever reason. Im sure they will have some great races there and make them very appealing to the people that want to race.

It was hotter than that in the Nam. I remember building bunkers in 115 degree heat. Some guys wished we would get hit so we could get down in our holes for some shade.....LOL
If ya cant stand the heat then get out of the kitchen !

Been there , Done that ! Fort Polk was great for building you up for the even greater experience. The heat I learned to handle but the humidity at times was indescribable. Did not think the human body could sweat as fast as when I was in Nam. A diet of water and salt pills. LOL
