Bob, Glad to hear you're above ground. The last time I saw you was at I believe the Gators in 79. You were with Loyd (spell?) Robinson and there was a fellow with you that said he could pi$$ over a school bus. Please tell me I didn't dream that up,I am starting to get a little foggy, it comes with Social Security checks. :-) -----Damn fast Pontiacs--------Danny

Hi Danny! See that you're living in Fla. and enjoying the sun! That guy who was with us back then may have been Tom Krecskay. I remember hanging out at Englishtown one weekend with you and .some other guys. my memory is foggy as well! Lloyd still lives around here but has quit racing. Bob michael

That car was traded within a year for the red white & blue Cuda, which was Ronald Lyles' Pro stock car. That car was the first Sox&Martin pro stock Cuda that Ronnie won a bunch of races in, then they built a new car in '71 and sold the original '70 car to Lyles. |

BTW - I believe it was '75. I got out of school to go w/dad get the car, it was not done, so I got to work at Herb's shop for a couple weeks while it was finished. I still remember, Herb had me painting the cage, and his quote was "It the car runs as fast as the paint, we got it made!" |

He sold the Ford, I think it was a 1925 model. And yes I have heard that quote many times throughout my life, there are a few more my dad has but I'm not sure I can put them on here. HAHA
