I am asking because I don't know for sure and cannot think of one until the admission of the Drag Paks and Cobra Jets by the NHRA into Stock Eliminator. Can you name any other combo, prior those two, that didn't meet emissions and licensing for the street at the time produced?

The CJ that my family owns could be licensed and insured for street use. Would be interesting to see if it passed emissions. I'll bet it would be closer than you think, if not pass. The only thing that NHRA screwed up on is the h.p. factors. There has been "bogus" combos allowed quite a few times over the years by Not Held Responsible Anytime!!
