I sure hope IHRA acts quick to get these things in a class entirely of their own with a tougher index. People are going to stop racing their series as well because of the new cars. What a mockery of Stock Eliminator...

-1.705 now as the last qualifying lap is over. I'm sure he's got more left in it.

IHRA has them in a different class in Stock, doesn't help SS. We (SS racers) still have to deal with them either place.

They arent listed as another class....Number 2 qualifer is B/FIA, just like the other four in that class. What happened to the "new" classes that were supposed to be for 08 and newer cars?

I don't know. I heard they were going to have their own classes. Didn't look into IHRA stock classes myself. Sorry I was wrong.

I thought there was a mistake made but Danny Waters explained that while IHRA does have AA/FI and BB/FI for the fastest Challengers and Mustangs, they haven't gotten around to forming classes for the 5.7 and 5.9 Drag Paks. There will eventually be CC/FI, DD/FI, etc. as needed. But in the meantime, they ended up in the regular FI classes. They'll be needed for the slower Mustangs coming out too.

Kevin broke a transmission. The 5.7 is about 60 better than the 5.9 both in legal stock configuration. The 6.1 is a little better, and the 6.4 is untested at this point.
