Am in the process of tearing down 67 327 275 hp to see if suitable to build a stocker engine with it...what should I be looking for?...have intake, water pump and heads off so far...minimal ridge in bores...no serial # on the Quadrajet that was on motor?? will mount on engine stand and drop pan next...

As long as the block isn't already .060 over or the heads, intake or crankshaft haven't been messed with you should be fine. The carb number means nothing as long as the venturie size is the proper one for the combination. Also make sure the heads and intake are the proper casting number. Is this engine ever been apart?

not sure if the motor has been apart...not really gummed up in lifter valley and very minimal ridge in cylinder bores so maybe...heads and manifold are original and dont appear to have had any work

Whats the casting number of the heads and intake?
