Solid motor mounts, a torque restraint, and a polyurethane transmission mount, is the ideal setup, if you're not allowed motorplates. And even with motor plates, front and mid, I use a polyurethane transmission mount, never a solid.

Used solid mounts and a rubber trans mount for the better part of the 17 years and over 4000 passes I made with this nearly 2 ton ride, without issue. I would never used a solid trans mount.

Just wondering, why do they even make a solid tranny mount? I don't know anyone the uses one and everyone will tell you to never use one unless you enjoy broken cases.

Circle track guys use them. And people you can't tell anything will try them, then wonder why they're having problems.

Lew, pick up one of those red poly "Energy Suspension"? trans mounts from Jeg's or Summit. Nice piece, and well worth the difference over the $10 Chinese crap.

I've even heard that using a poly trans mount can cause broken extension housings. Was advised to use a stock rubber mount. This was in a small block Mopar A-Body.
