The 8 4/4 is a special axial flow power transmitter with a turbo. I like that.

Yea, it's probably that special trick device that makes them a damn bad assed Mopar. Wish they would make a street version of that DP..Think you can persuade them Mr. Jeff?

Yes the 8 4/4 has an aluminum center section and aluminum drive shaft

I think - I did not try a magnet on it but it looks like aluminum

Theres a GM Powerglide, a Chrysler Mopowerglide and a Ford FOMOPowerglide. Rules, we dont need no stinking rules !

Maybe its time to class stockers and S/S by cu. inch to shipping wt. rules. The HP rating deal isnt working. If they run a power adder of some sort then use DOUBLE the original cu, inches to figure the class. NO UGLY hood scoops other than factory produced. Just P&G em for a class or eliminator win and let them go. It sure couldnt cost any more than it does now to build a so called "stocker" motor. S/S is already there with the stuff they do.
