Most days I drive a 2002 GMC Sierra. When the weather cooperates, I drive a '69 Camaro. Never checked the fuel mileage on it, probably don't want to know. It has a 350 with a 266/272 stocker cam, cast iron intake with a Q-jet, and a 3500 stall converter. It's black with black interior and no A/C, so it's not all that comfortable in the middle of summer.

I drive a 1995 Camaro. What else? Lol! It's just a base coupe with a V-6 auto, nothing hi-performance.

Don't know if I should bring this up or not...
There are some guys who race mopars...and drive mopars, or race Fords and drive Fords etc. What about the guys who are all Ford/Chev/Dodge at the track, but drive a toyota or hyundai etc as a DD? Don't want this to turn into a pissing contest, just curious of the mindset. My Mustang is my racecar, my F-350 is my DD and the wife drives a freestar. No, imports cannot park in my driveway! LOL! I've had quite heated discussions at night when the lanes close on why ford/chev/dodge is best, but then notice their DD is a honda? Seriously? If this turns the thread ****ty, I'll delete the post. I'm just curious why die hard X fans have a Y as their Daily Driver? |

It seems there aren't many "American" cars pulling good gas milage comparable to the foreign cars at the same price range and percieved quality.I tend to favor Chrysler but
their cars aren't very gas efficient, unless you count the upcoming Fiat 500 time bomb.

I have a 1989 Oldsmobile 88 Royale with the 3.8L Buick engine and over 275,000 miles. It still runs strong even though I abuse the hell out of it.

Show me an American car that gets 40 plus
with the air on @ 70 mph, has the build quality, and most importantly its what the wife wants.Thats why her dd is a Honda Civic. It has 87K plus miles, has never been in the shop for anything other than an oil change or tire rotation when I couldnt get to it myself. For the record,I work at a Ford dealership in the parts dept.

My daily driver is a 2009 Ford Flex. So far it's been a great car. My fun car is a 65 GTO convertible with a built 455, 200 R4 trans, twelve bolt 3.73 gear and a lot of suspension and brake upgrades. It is really fast and fun.
