How many are too many eliminators ?
At Baytown they are running THIRTEEN eliminator classes ! To me that is way too many for one event and not fair to the racers. And confusing to the casual spectators. Pro Mod,Top Spoirtsman, Top Dragster and Super Street don't need to be there. And the throttle stop classes need to be qualified 32 car fields....... :-) |

You're onto something there John.Although I disagree about Super Street.I'd take them anytime over the new add ons.If they treated us better there wouldn't be a need for any of the new add on classes.

1...Is 13 really too much? They kinda need all they get these days, gotta pay the rent. 2...PM,TS,TD & SST..........what event should they run at? 3...Pop and stop to 32 car fields.............without them footing alot of the bills, there wouldn't be any nationals. |

They could run Top fool, Ha Ha cars and pro stock jap bikes in January on Alaska during a blizzard ! That would cut it down to 10.
Oh I forgot.....by running the Alky cars at the same time it would be cut to 8. Cant forget those really cool pieces of S##t. Last edited by X-TECH MAN; 04-30-2011 at 05:55 PM. |

But common sense also says that unless they have a heck of a lot of cars as well as spectators, set purses for so many classes is not sustainable. It didn't seem like a feasible idea when the "new" AHRA was trying to do that.
