The car was actually mine (#1082 H/SA). I had bought Paul Mayo's white 70 442 W-30 and been racing it very successfully when I decided to build a 70 high compression (365 HP) Vista. Paul had been running the Troxell VC (more on that as a reply to 237) for some time and Troxell and I thought that the compression wagon MIGHT work-wrong!!! Despite all efforts to get the car to work, it would spit out parts like chewing tobbacco. One night at Island Carl bennett and Ronnie Sirianni (mostly Carl if truth be told) had to push me up on Troxell's old ramp truck after the thing spit out a driveshaft. Carl told me I had one chance to hit the ramps or they were walking away.

I sold the car to Tom Krecsky near Cinn. OH and he got with Danny Lattimore and they changed it to a 71 or 72 ( I think 72) and were the record holder in SS/KA or LA for quite a while. Credit to Tom and Danny for giving up on the compression and going with a combo that had worked for Danny in his 72 Cutlass SX.
