Jack, I will have to doc you a half days pay, man is it hard to find good help.
Marc, I'm in lane 24 and I think you right about where we will be parked. I don't think NHRA has many people parking, things are moving very slow. It is hot and humid here, upper 80’s, but it is supposed to break tomorrow with much less humidity and temps in the upper 70's. I have a few shots of the staging area for rigs. Also, Vinny Berone already park and getting ready for tomorrow. When I get parked I will be back with the schedule for tomorrows racing. |

I am parked and done with tech. Even though it took awhile to get parked, everything has gone surprisingly well. A small line for tech and no line for credentials. What I thought was going to be a long day, turned out to be smooth sailing.
I have the schedule for Thursday and Friday. Friday's times were block, but it will still give everyone an idea what Friday will look like. Once I get settle in, I will be back with more pictures and any info worth noting. |

Well It's almost 6:30 PM and I'm back at the house now after an exhausting 15 minute ride home.We had a bit of a downpour at around 5:00 PM.Just a bit of rain and some nice sized hail stones, some bigger than nice sized marbles.Like Ken said Stock,SS and the Super category cars are parked on the pit side, above the area of the time ticket booth. It was explained to me that only towed vehicles were parking on the spectator side due to some incedents with spectators last year playing matador with the cars navigating the pits at the spectator entrances. It was getting a bit crowded when I left, but all in all it should be good for the S/SS cars getting to their spots easier this year.
Redman is in the house, doing his usual excellent job of making us welcome. And the tech guys did a good job of keeping the tech lanes short. I spent the afternoon as apprentice to Tom Goldman who sorted out a few small issues with the little chugger motor. I hope to have something in the class single marathon.

Well folks, I knew Jack was in the house. Not only did it rain, but we also got hail. Make sure you turn up the volume up so you can hear the hail hitting the ground. It has stopped now and the sun is trying to come out.
As you can see by the Camaro in Gary Richard's pit area, he still has a soft spot for Chevys. The Oak Tree Duster is our Division I Champion, Dustan Lowell. Billy Pires, is now in a 69 Nova, the bird went by by and he tells me he loves his new ride. Our very own Class Racer star, Ed Fernandez working on his car. Folks, you don't know how much I wanted to shut that hood... just kidding Ed. |

Thanks fellas - you can blame many things on me but the rain -complete with huge hail - I'm good but not that good .The hail that came late this afternoon was fifty cent size and could have done plenty of damage if race cars had been out .
Tonight brought a nice quiet dinner with friends - homemade fried chicken and apple pie w/coffee for desert - racing isn't just about cars- breaking bread with competitors is OK too . At this another storm is hitting and its a duzie - good news is its just rain - no hail again . In the AM because we're here in Old Bridge Township engines cannot be started before 10 so time trials will start around 10:15 with Stock out first ..............

Regarding eating and enjoying the company; we have joked in the past about leaving the cars home and just go to cook, eat & BS.
