Default Re: Ford c4 transmission question

Got this c4 transmission fixed finally, heres what fixed it if anyone is interested. I rebuilt the trans this time with teflon rings throughout, on pump stator and govoner. I found one of the lip seals on the front servo installed backwards and this must have been contributing to the high gear engagement issue along with the worn cast rings on the stator. Installed trans in car with the new reverse manual valve body and on the road test it still binds up in first but second and high gear are good. removed the new valve body and installed the original valve body that is pretty much stock with a shift improver kit and trans works great, even better than before with this same valve body, the shift to high gear does not delay like before and all shifts are quick and crisp, guess I will be trying to return this PA brand valve body and get my money back!
